PARIS: The start of the 2024 Paris Olympics is just a couple of days away. This will be for the first time in 100 years that the French capital will host the Olympics, with Paris last having hosted the Games in 1924. A total of 329 events across 32 sporting disciplines will be held across the next two weeks, with the Olympics concluding on 11 August.While a majority of the events will be held in Paris, some of the events will take place several kilometres away from Paris. One such event is surfing, which will take place 15,000 kilometres away from Paris, in French Polynesia.
