MOSCOW: The units of the Sever Group of Forces supported by Army Aviation and artillery actively conduct actions to search for and destroy in wooded areas mobile enemy groups that were trying to break through deep into the territory of the Russian Federation in the direction of Alekseyevsky and Kauchuk.
Attacks launched by assault detachments of 22nd, 115th mechanised and 95th assault brigades supported by armoured vehicles have been repelled in the direction of Korenevo, Russkoye, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.
Aviation, artillery, and defending troops have routed the enemy.
As a result of these unsuccessful actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost one tank and 11 armoured fighting vehicles.
Clusters of Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) manpower and hardware of 22nd, 61st, 115th mechanised and 82nd air assault brigades have been hit near Novaya Sorochina, Lyubimovka, south-east of Korenevo, Leonidovo, and Kositsa.
One Iris-T SAM system launcher and one TRML-4D multi-role radar station have been destroyed by missile strikes close to Sennoye (Sumy region).
Operational-Tactical Aviation hit reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition and fuel depots close to Kiyanitsa, Kositsa, Khoten, and Boyaro-Lezhachi (Sumy region).
The AFU losses were up to 300 Ukrainian troops, 31 armoured vehicles, including three tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armoured personnel carriers, 25 armoured fighting vehicles as well as eight motor vehicles, one Iris-T SAM system, one field artillery gun, and one electronic warfare station.
Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the enemy lost up to 3,160 Ukrainian troops, 44 tanks, 43 armoured personnel carriers, 26 infantry fighting vehicles, 244 armoured fighting vehicles, 111 motor vehicles, five SAM launchers, six multiple-launch rocket system launchers, including three HIMARS MLRSs, 24 field artillery guns, and four electronic warfare stations.
The operation to neutralise the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) units is in progress.
