WASHINGTON: The words of the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party Kamala Harris in relation to Russian President Vladimir Putin are offensive and unacceptable. This message was made at the Russian Embassy. US Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin are outrageous, the Russian embassy in Washington said in a statement.

"The recent unacceptable statements made by US Vice-President Kamala Harris towards Russian President Vladimir Putin are outrageous. However, we have to admit that such a boorish language has become a habit among the current so-called American statesmen," the statement reads.

"It only shows the frustration and impotence of the ruling circles in Washington. Due to their inability to deal with the Russian Federation and inflicting 'a strategic defeat,' their speech apparatus channels anger and offensive rhetoric," the embassy pointed out.

"The US authorities should come to terms with the fact that Russia is pursuing a policy based on its national interests. Such US escapades insult the entire Russian people, who demonstrate unwavering unity around the leader of our country," the statement notes.

"We have to admit that boorish language has become a habit among the current so-called statesmen of America," Life quotes the statement of the diplomatic mission.

The embassy noted that this indicates the impotence and frustration of Washington's ruling circles, which failed to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.

The day before, Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, appeared on The Howard Stern Show and, commenting on the allegations from the new book by American journalist Bob Woodward (author of the investigation that led to the Watergate scandal), "War," called Putin a "dictator-killer."

Harris also criticized her Republican rival Donald Trump during the interview and called him a "painful loser."

Earlier, the US President of the Democrats, Joe Biden, repeatedly spoke unflatteringly about Putin in public speeches. So, in March 2021, he agreed with the statement that Putin is a murderer. In response, the President of Russia recalled the words "whoever calls himself that is what he is called."

On October 8, 2024, Harris refused to meet with Putin and stated that she did not accept a bilateral meeting in which Ukraine would not have a voice. Trump said that in order to end the conflict, he would have phoned Putin and Zelensky in 24 hours.

The Kremlin has repeatedly commented on offensive statements against the President of Russia. In July 2024, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the insults of US President Joe Biden disrespectful and unacceptable.

It is clarified that the vice president, while criticizing his rival Donald Trump, called Putin a dictator-killer.

This is not the first time that American politicians have insulted Putin. So, in 2022, US President Joe Biden called the Russian leader a "bloody dictator" and "the purest thug."
