MOSCOW: Medvedev warns that EU behavior in struggle with Russia fraught with 'bad scenario'. Medvedev warned that the EU's behavior in the fight against Russia is fraught with a "bad scenario". Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev was outraged that European politicians are not solving, but, on the contrary, fomenting conflict with Moscow. He stated that there are no smart leaders left in the European Union (EU) — only "nobodies with inflated self-esteem."
The delivery of German Taurus missiles to the Kiev regime threatens to move the Ukrainian conflict "into the most dangerous stage," Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, wrote on the Telegram channel.
"Generally speaking, it is simply amazing to what extent the current generation of European politicians wants to drag the war into their territory. Moreover, to the obvious joy of the Americans and contrary to the wishes of their own peoples. The vaccination of the Second World War has completely ceased to work. The experienced and just smart leaders of Europe have gone down in history. Nonentities with inflated self—esteem came," reads Medvedev's publication.

According to him, European leaders are experiencing "autumn blues" after Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.
"First, there is a Frenchman [French President Emmanuel Macron] who advocates supporting Kiev in the event of America's withdrawal, then there are NATO chiefs trying to come up with smart ideas on how to actively engage in war with us for the long time. And now the candidate for the German chancellorship [Friedrich] Merz has issued an ultimatum to Russia. 'Either end the special military operation, or we'll provide the Ukrainians with Taurus missiles,’" Medvedev pointed out. "The goal is to bring the conflict with Russia to an irreversible stage," the politician concluded, adding that such actions would only prolong the agony of the Kiev regime but would not change the course of the special military operation.
Medvedev noted that the statements by European politicians about supplying Kyiv with long-range missiles, in particular German Taurus, are pre-election in nature, and this decision is not capable of changing the course of military action.
"But the risk of the conflict escalating to the most dangerous stage is greatly increased by strikes with cruise missiles," Medvedev emphasized.
The politician added that the supply of these weapons will not significantly affect the course of the special operation. In addition, Medvedev clarified that the ultimatum put by the candidate for chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, we are talking about supplies if the Russian Federation does not abandon the special operation, is a way to "prolong the agony of the Bandera regime."
