MOSCOW: In 2024, the duty forces of the ground-based automated control complex of the Aerospace Forces conducted about 450,000 spacecraft control sessions.
In addition, during the performance of combat duty tasks, the forces on duty performed more than 120,000 spacecraft control sessions.
One of the tasks of the space forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces is to launch spacecraft into orbit, control military and dual-use (military and civilian) satellite systems in flight, and use individual of them in the interests of providing the troops (forces) of the Russian Federation with the necessary information.
As part of the implementation of the program for the improvement and development of the Russian space control system, the Space Forces continue to work on the creation of specialized ground-based space controls of a new generation.
In addition, a new generation of command and measurement systems is being actively developed to re-equip individual command and measurement complexes of the Main Titov Space Test Center. The commissioning of unified command and measurement facilities will make it possible to switch to new technologies for controlling spacecraft of the Russian orbital group and reduce the list of modifications of previous-generation technical controls several times.
