MOSCOW: Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the servicemen of the units who showed courage and heroism in the liberation of the village of Kurakhovo in the DPR
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov sent congratulations to the command and personnel of the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade named after the first head of the Donetsk People's Republic A.V. Zakharchenko.
The head of the military department noted the professional and decisive actions of the unit's servicemen, as a result of which the settlement of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated.
"From the first days of the special military operation, with their courage and determination, the personnel of the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade have been valiantly and selflessly liberating the Luhansk and Donetsk lands from neo-Nazis, writing new pages in the history of the military glory of the unit. Today, you are confidently moving forward in the Kurakhovo direction, improving the position of our troops and are an example of courage and fortitude in the performance of combat missions," the telegram of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation says.
Andrei Belousov also congratulated the command and personnel of the 110th separate guards Order of the Republic motorized rifle brigade.
"Your bold and decisive actions allow us to successfully push back the enemy and make a huge contribution to the overall advance of the Southern Group of Forces. This victory will become a symbol of the courage and fortitude of the servicemen of the Russian Army and will go down in the history of the military exploits of the 110th separate guards motorized rifle brigade,” the Russian Defense Minister emphasized.
For the courage and heroism they demonstrated, more than 5,500 servicemen of the unit were awarded state and departmental awards.
The Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov thanked the servicemen of the 5th and 110th separate motorized rifle brigades for their loyalty to their military duty, the Fatherland and the oath, and also expressed confidence that they will continue to honorably fulfill all assigned tasks, reliably protect national interests and ensure the security of Russia.
