Dear employees of research organizations and enterprises of the defense industry complex!

Dear veterans!

On January 21, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation celebrate Engineering Troops Day.

For more than three centuries, the personnel of the engineering troops have been honorably fulfilling their military duty, making a significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability, and helping to achieve victories on the battlefield.

Today, during a special military operation, military engineers, continuing the traditions of their predecessors, demonstrate unparalleled courage and heroism, act clearly and harmoniously in difficult combat conditions, demonstrate professionalism and high training in clearing areas of explosive objects, installing minefields, constructing shelters and carrying out blasting operations.

The engineering troops participate in eliminating the consequences of emergency situations, equipping crossings, building bridges and fortifications, and restoring civilian infrastructure.

The effective work of military engineers is largely due to the teachers of military universities and training centers that train highly qualified specialists. It is also the result of the efforts of scientists, designers and employees of defense industry enterprises who create qualitatively new, reliable, universal means of engineering weapons.

I would like to express special words of gratitude to the veterans whose selfless service to the Motherland is an example for the defenders of the Fatherland.

I am confident that the servicemen of the engineering troops will continue to successfully solve the tasks set, and will guarantee the protection of the national interests of the state.

I wish everyone good health, prosperity and new achievements in the name of Russia!
