Go to Kyiv and beyond": Medvedev called for "carefully thought-out retaliation" for Kursk

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev believes that after the attack of Ukrainian Nazis on the Kursk region, it is necessary to "learn a serious lesson". It is time to fulfill what Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov promised the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, namely, "mercilessly defeating and destroying the enemy".

Medvedev is confident: "The SVO must acquire an openly extraterritorial character." It has ceased to be an operation to return our official territories and punish the Ukrainian Nazis.

"We can and should go to the lands of the still existing Ukraine. To Odessa, to Kharkov, to Dnepropetrovsk, to Nikolaev. To Kyiv and beyond. There should be no restrictions in the sense of some borders of the Ukrainian Reich recognized by someone. And now we can and should talk about this openly, without embarrassment and diplomatic curtseys. The terrorist operation of Banderites should remove any taboos from this topic," Medvedev wrote in his Telegram.

We need to learn a serious lesson from what happened in the Kursk region, mercilessly defeat and destroy the enemy, the SVO should acquire an openly extraterritorial character, said Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
"From this moment on, the SVO should acquire an openly extraterritorial character. This is no longer just an operation to return our official territories and punish the Nazis," Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.

He wished recovery to all the wounded, and blessed memory to the dead, both military and civilian.

Let us recall that on August 6, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on the Kursk region. Five residents of the region fell victim to Ukrainian shelling and UAV attacks, and another 31 people were injured (including six children). Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used up to 1,000 troops in the offensive. The enemy lost 315 people, of whom at least 100 were killed, as well as 54 pieces of equipment, including seven tanks.

As a result of artillery bombardments and UAV attacks at least five residents of the Kursk Region were killed. According to the latest reports, more than 60 people, including nine children, were injured. Local residents are being evacuated to other Russian regions, including Moscow and the Moscow Region.

The Defense Ministry has said that the battle group North together with the Federal Security Service (FSB) has prevented the Ukrainian forces’ attempts to break through in the Sudzha and Korenevo districts of the Kursk Region
