MOSCOW: Russian Armed Forces liberate settlements of Uspenovka and Borki in Kursk region
The Russian army has liberated Uspenovka and Borki in the Kursk region, the Ministry of Defense reported.
“Units of the North group of troops, continuing offensive operations, liberated the settlements of Uspenovka and Borki,” the department said.
In addition, they defeated formations of eight Ukrainian brigades in the areas of Lyubimovka, Novoivanovka, Darino, Nikolo-Daryino, Tolstoy Lug, Plekhovo and Pokrovskoe.
In addition, the Sever fighters repelled counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of the settlements of Byakhovo, Bolshaya Obukhovka, Viktorovka, Lyubimovka and Malaya Loknya.
“As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 40 people killed and wounded, and four armored combat vehicles were destroyed,” the Defense Ministry emphasized.
Russian troops launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region last week. As the Defense Ministry reported on September 12, ten settlements in the region were liberated from Ukrainian militants in just two days.
