Moldova sent only 10 thousand forms for voting in the elections to the Russian Federation
The authorities of the Republic of Moldova have prepared only 10 thousand ballots for 500 thousand of their citizens living in Russia to vote in the presidential elections and the referendum on joining the European Union, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.
"This kind of democratic, Western-minded Sandu regime printed 10,000 ballots. What are these values? And that's the point, that's the truth of life. Let this become an indicator of the analysis of the state of these European values, as it were," Zakharova said.
According to her, we are talking only about Moldovan citizens who work, study in Russia, have created families here, but continue to be citizens with the right to vote. According to experts, this is about 500 thousand people.
At the same time, the number of polling stations decreased from five to two. They will be opened in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The elections of the President of Moldova will be held on October 20, 11 people are applying for the post of head of state. On the same day, it is planned to hold a referendum on the republic's accession to the European Union.
