MINSK:Alexander Lukashenko took the oath and officially assumed the office of the President of Belarus for the seventh time. Alexander Lukashenko officially took office as the President of Belarus on March 25. He solemnly took the oath of office on the Constitution in the Hall of Ceremonies in the Palace of Independence, and then gave a speech. "RG" has collected the main statements of the Belarusian leader.

Victory and Unity
"This victory is not only mine, but also millions of Belarusians," - this is how Lukashenko commented on the choice of the Belarusian people in the elections on January 26, when 86.82 percent of voters supported him. It was then that the country, in his opinion, overcame the "historical crossroads", confidently following the path of peace, national unity, patriotism, justice and opportunities for everyone.

Anniversary of the Great Victory
Lukashenko emphasized that taking the oath in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is a huge responsibility. "We will not allow anyone to erase the creative trace in our history and our predecessors," he emphasized.

Sovereign state
Belarus was able to become a sovereign state, which Belarusians should be proud of. "What did the world know about our country some three decades ago? Almost nothing. Who was interested in us? Probably no one. And today our country has become known throughout the world." The republic is in the spotlight today, but not everyone likes the independence, honest and open position of Belarus in the international arena.

Challenges and unity of the people
The country has become stronger, thanks to those "who sold the Motherland for Western grants, trying to carry out a color revolution in the republic in 2020." Lukashenko recalled the recent investigation by the US President Donald Trump's administration, which revealed the facts of USAID (activities ceased and banned in the Russian Federation) and NED (an organization recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation) financing coups and color revolutions around the world, including in Belarus.

"We protect the peace that you are putting at risk, we ensure the well-being that you are putting at risk by begging sanctions and bombs from the bosses. You have taught us to value and defend what we have," the head of the republic noted.

Growing replacement
Young people are actively involved in the political life of Belarus and are ready to continue the course of power. The new generation has not seen the devastation of the first years of the country's formation and is ready to develop the country. "We have raised a worthy replacement. We have someone to pass the baton to," Lukashenko said.

"Dictatorship" that half the world dreams of
Many countries in the world dream of a "dictatorship" in Belarusian - "a dictatorship of real deeds and interests of our people," Lukashenko is sure. "We have more democracy than those who call themselves its standard. Every citizen has the constitutional right and the opportunity to speak out. But we will not allow freedom of speech to be used as a club to destroy the country," the president emphasized.

The president will never betray his supporters or run away
"Remember - you live in your own country, on your own land. You should never and nowhere be afraid of anyone. You are the masters, you make common decisions yourselves. You have earned this right at a very high price. Your president will never abandon you, betray you or run away. You are my whole life," Lukashenko concluded.
